MORROW, Ga. – Carter's, the number-one brand for children's apparel from newborn through age six, is offering a fun and colorful collection of swimwear for infants and young children that will be created and marketed by K&R Sportswear Inc. K&R is a leader in children's swimwear and has been marketing high-quality products for more than 84 years. This partnership marks Carter's entry into an important new category as the company develops lifestyle products around its new brand theme, Celebrating Imagination.

The new swimwear collection will debut in spring 2000. The boys' line includes embroideries, patches and an entire range of prints featuring fish, boats and dinosaurs. All of these designs adorn tee shirt cover-ups with matching diaperless swim trunks. The girls' line consists of one-piece, two-piece, and diaperless suits in an array of prints: classic white and pink gingham, delicate and radiant floral, clusters of butterflies and splashes of fish.
